This year, we’re offering a special 4-day program that invites you to explore the beautiful places mentioned in Autobiography of a Yogi through an experiential journey around Master’s beloved Kolkata. We’ll also honor his divine birth with a joyful strolling kirtan and a serene Ganga boat cruise

Highlights of the Celebrations:

2 Jan. - Kriya Initiation at 4 Garpar Road

We’ll begin the celebrations by honouring our sacred bond with our Gurus through a beautiful Kriya Yoga initiation at 4 Garpar road, Master’s residency.

3 Jan. - Following the Footsteps of Master ~ An Experiential Pilgrimage based on Autobiography of a Yogi​

This year, we’re honored to offer a new pilgrimage in Kolkata, tracing the footsteps of Yogananda from Autobiography of a Yogi. Throughout this sacred journey, we’ll visit the special places where the Master once walked and share the inspiring stories from his beloved book.

4 Jan. (Morning) - Master’s Birthday Celebrations in the Garpar Road Neighbourhood

This special day is dedicated to pre-celebrating Master’s birthday in a truly unique way. We’ll begin with a morning meditation and a joyful strolling kirtan through Master’s neighborhood, expressing our heartfelt gratitude for his presence in our lives. The celebration concludes with a serene boat cruise, featuring inspiring stories from Master’s satsangs and a delicious dinner on the Ganga.

4 Jan. (Evening) - Ganga Cruise on a Special Boat:

On the evening of the 4th, we’ll celebrate Master’s life by sharing rare and inspiring stories from his childhood. Between chants and stories, we’ll close the day by offering our light into the ocean of his divine love — expressing our deepest gratitude and joy for his precious presence in our lives.

5 Jan. - Dakshineswar & Serampore​

On the final day, we’ll conclude the celebrations just as we began — with a sacred pilgrimage to Dakshineswar and Serampore. We’ll enter deep meditation at the very places where Master had his divine vision of the Divine Mother and spent his days of training and spiritual upliftment under his Guru, Sri Yukteswar. We’ll conclude the day at a unique and historic venue — the Serampore Raj Bari — a place that beautifully captures the spirit and heritage of our journey.

Highlights of Special Locations

Jorasanko Thakurbari

Jorasanko Thakurbari is the birthplace and ancestral home of the renowned poet Rabindranath Tagore. This historic site will be one of the stops on our Autobiography of a Yogi walk on January 3rd. The house preserves many of the poet’s personal belongings and offers a glimpse into his inspiring life. Yogananda himself mentions Tagore in Autobiography of a Yogi, making this visit especially meaningful.

Laha bari

Laha Bari will host us for the entire program on January 4th.
With its historical charm, this beautiful house is located near Master’s childhood neighborhood — the very area where he lived and grew up. This inspiring venue will welcome us for meditation, breakfast, and lunch. From here, we’ll begin our joyful strolling kirtan, leading us to Garpar Road, Master’s childhood home.

Vivada Cruise

On the evening of January 4th, the Vivada Cruise — for the third consecutive year — will carry our hearts as it sails along the sacred Ganga, hosting a beautiful dinner celebration. With its elegant golden décor, this radiant boat is the perfect setting to offer our light into the ocean of divine love. Together, we’ll chant, listen to inspiring stories of Master, and share a delicious meal under the stars.

The Denmark Tavern

The Denmark Tavern will be the final destination, hosting our closing satsang on January 5th. This majestic venue will embrace the uplifting energy we’ve shared throughout the celebrations, helping us to turn it inward and carry it deep within our hearts.
